CROWN! POPPEA! (a proof of concept gesture)

This is a gesture towards a proof of concept for the as-yet-to-be-produced production of CROWN! POPPEA! a music-video-electronic-sample-remix-opera (after Monteverdi). The sketch compositions in this video are by Ted Hearne who would be the composer of the new work, performed by Eliza Bagg featured here as Poppea and Tomás Cruz as Nerone. This video includes a second scene which is integrated in live performance as Poppea in the video sings to the countertenor who sings Otho. This work is directed by Ashley Tata with the collaboration of DP/Editor Michael Barringer, production designer Stephan Moravski, costume designer Liene Dobraja and assisted by Hunter Gause.
